No matter what the season, Youngstown has a full range of restaurants along with taste-treat attractions to create ravenous appetites. The Hull family’s White House Fruit Farm, an institution on Youngstown-Salem Road, lets visitors buy from the market or pick their own in season, and has a bakery-deli offering jams, apple butter, honey, dried fruits, homemade cheese, ice cream, and baked goods including cherry and blueberry donuts. Lanterman’s Mill within the Mill Creek Park operates as a grist mill, much as it first did in 1846, grinding corn, wheat, buckwheat and oats for gift shop patrons. Besides steakhouses, pizza parlors, and burger joints, other Youngstown restaurants offer a range of cuisine including Chinese, Mexican and Thai.
